Still On Call

This morning we finished up our on-call assignment by opening the CARE Center before 7:00 a.m. and helping Carl in the kitchen. We also kept track of breakfast eaters and answered the phone until we were relieved at 8:30 a.m., when we took our morning walk. Then we were free until 4:00 p.m., when we went back to help Carl with the taco supper.

Ken decided to try once more to get his kite in the air. It seems that on our morning walk we see flags blowing in the wind, and since we have a large field right in front of our campsite, it's tempting to think it may be kite weather. However, the wind usually dies down and is inconsistent, and that happened again yesterday. Ken got some practice putting the kite together and adjusting the lines, but that was all.

I did some cleaning and organizing. Somehow the time flies.
