Organizing the Huge Garage Sale, Day 2

The volunteers all spent another day organizing and beating off early shoppers... No one is really in charge, so different volunteers tend to have different ideas about how things should be handled, but overall, the results of all our efforts are quite impressive. Just wait until we open tomorrow morning and the crowd arrives to dig through everything.

Ken's driving assignment was interesting, since the resident didn't think she had an appointment this morning. Turned out she ended up with a very long appointment. He got back in time to rest briefly before lunch. Then he had another driving assignment.

A new volunteer couple pulled in late this afternoon, yay! They will have tomorrow off to rest up from their trip, and then they'll join us on the schedule, meaning everyone will get more breaks.

We took a bit longer walk this evening, since we missed our walk this morning. The park has filled up. People are evidently drawn by the famous annual barbecue, which was this evening.
