We left Tyler State Park early this morning so we'd have time to stop at the Terrell Tanger Outlet Mall. That's where we ate lunch and returned some things we bought in San Marcos. Driving in to the Dallas area in the afternoon reminded us how much we don't like driving in traffic in big cities, a real contrast from the peace and natural beauty of the state park we left behind.
We're in site #63 for the week. It's a back-in with 50 amp service. The green over the picnic table is our patio mat. It was covered with sand this morning. We tried to hose it down, but it was still wet and sandy when we packed it up for the trip. It's really a great mat, though, and it dried quickly. Getting all the sand off our shoes and step rugs was more challenging.
On our afternoon walk we checked out the campground. One motor home really caught our eye.
Only in Dallas!
After supper I headed over to visit Ed and Julie and the kids. Ken stayed home to rest and work on his pictures. Julie had made a really delicious strawberry salad, which I tried. It was great to see everyone again. Jesse is being a bit shy, but I'm sure he'll warm up after a while.
We are counting down: 8 days until we hit Junction City.
