Quality Time

On our way over to Ed and Julie's we stopped at the big Walmart on Justin, hoping to find some things that weren't in the smaller stores. Mostly no luck, but we did get a couple of Roughneck totes.

Today was one of Julie's regular massage days, so we got to spend some quality time with Cate and Sam and Jesse. Julie had one hour and a half massage scheduled. She ended up getting a second one. The lady she was working on was giving Julie a trial. The client ended up going on to an hour and a half massage also. She said Julie had given her the best massage she ever had.

When Ed got home Ed, Ken, Cate and I played Ticket to Ride. Cate has just recently started playing, so she got help from Ed. She also plays with her cards face up because they're hard for her to hold. She is a super game player, always anxious to play, and did quite well. I got two short trips to start and didn't make much of a splash. Ken was clearly going to get the bonus for longest train. Ed had some long trips. But in the end I managed to carve out a win by having a couple of high-point six trains.

The good news was that Ed's new phone arrived. I was anxiously awaiting its arrival because I'm getting his old phone, an HTC Incredible, to replace the Droid I've been using. We'll go Saturday to Costco to get his new phone activated and make the trade-off. Cate and Sam's biggest treat is playing with Mom or Dad's phone or Mom's iPad. Ed has lots of games on his phone, and both the kids know how to get streaming videos to watch. They are very computer literate.

Tonight, Dora the Explorer was on. Ed and Jesse sat on the couch watching together. When Dora would ask if anyone could find the red box, Ed would exclaim "red box, red box," and Jesse would chime in right along.
