Running Around

We haven't literally been running around: it's much too hot for that! Today we did find ourselves out and about all afternoon.

First we were very happy to meet Larry at Mimi's to retrieve some things we had left behind last night: Ken's tablet, my iPad, and the Jetpack. We especially needed the Jetpack, so it worked out well that Larry had a morning meeting in north Scottsdale.

After the successful handoff (thanks, Larry!) we went to Costco, which was nearby, where we picked up Ken's prescription for the med that CVS could not supply. It was much cheaper at Costco (using no insurance) than other sources. We bought some food too, but not much.

On the way home we wanted to pick up my bike from the repair shop, but it wasn't quite ready when we called. The repair person said it would be ready in an hour, so we went to Staples and Best Buy to hang out for half an hour before heading north to Bicycle Vibe. My bike shifts much better now than it has in quite a while, so I'm a happy cyclist. However, the next time the bike needs $100 worth of repairs, I might consider replacing it. It's six years old, and it's clear that traveling on the back of an RV is a bit hard on bikes.
