D-Day

 D-Day was 70 years ago today, the year before we were born. Such momentous events--they certainly have had far reaching effects in history and in our lives. What a tragedy that terrible wars still continue.

Okay, we tried to walk outside this morning and lasted only fifteen minutes before giving up. It was just too hot. So this afternoon we went to Walmart, pretty much the only large store within ten miles, and walked up and down the aisles. At least it was air conditioned.

Our internet connection has been weak and unreliable, which is extremely frustrating when we're trying to research places to stay or get some financial work done.
