Last Dance

Today turned out to be the last time we'll dance at our two Wednesday dances. I'll be out of town next Wednesday, visiting in Bethesda, and both Jerry and Joe announced that they'll have only one more Wednesday dance this season. I said goodbye to Jerry and Kristy, and they said they'd see us in Detroit at Nationals.

We will dance to Joe one last time on Thursday morning, March 31, the day before we leave the Valley. He'll be calling at Nationals too. We are really lucky to have great callers, lots of dancing opportunities, and great dancing friends here.

After tonight's dance we joined the group at the DQ in Pharr, where we hashed out the troubles of the world. Jan and Steve invited the usual group to one last fish fry on Saturday night.

We are actually starting to pencil in our travels for 2012. The 2012 National Square Dance Convention is in Spokane. We'd like to go to it and then take an Alaska cruise from Seattle.
