This afternoon found us off to Progreso to celebrate David's birthday with a trip to Santiago's bar and then to the Red Snapper for dinner. The usual good time was had by all.

We watched The Pledge, a movie we had Tivo'ed, tonight. Jack Nicholson turns in a stunning performance. We note that this is the second movie we've seen him in where the opening scene is a retirement party for him (the first was About Schmidt). Interestingly, in both his character ends up rather isolated and pathetic.
