On to Buckhorn Lake Resort

After a last hike at Choke Canyon State Park this morning, we headed north through San Antonio and on to Kerrville, TX. We stayed in this town once before, in April of 2008, when we were brand newbies. We camped that time at Kerrville-Schreiner Park, run by the city. This time we're at Buckhorn Lake Resort, a much more upscale place. We arrived with two other New Horizons and were greeted by many, many more.

We also noticed a group of Excels as we drove to our site. Must be an area Excel rally going on now too. The New Horizons Owners' Group (NHOG) rally doesn't officially begin until Monday, but we were invited to an impromptu welcome party. We met several nice couples, but I certainly won't remember their names, at least not until they break out the nametags! We're looking forward to doing some exploring in the park tomorrow and meeting more new friends.

I can hardly keep my eyes open, so I guess I'll head for bed early tonight.

Just wondering how you liked Choke Canyon. It is one of our favorites as you know. Safe travels.
