Last Blast in Mexico

Today we celebrated David's 65th birthday and the end of the Winter Texan season by making a final trip to Mexico with the gang. Hardy and Judy got back to Texas yesterday evening after a long two days of driving from Paducah, KY, where they had been at Hardy's mom's funeral. It was like a family reunion having them rejoin the group today. John and Sandy came too. Altogether it was a large party. When we arrived at the parking lot on the U.S. side of the international bridge in Progreso, we could see that lots of other Winter Texans had had the same idea we had. The parking lot was packed.

We stopped at Ron Hoover RV on the way home to pick up a bulb for my reading light and ended up getting an LED bulb. I hope it works out well--they are certainly pricey.

Green Gate Grove is having community wide yard sales today and tomorrow. I managed to pick up a few things before we left for Mexico, and I'm hoping that tomorrow morning I'll find some more treasures. Jan will be selling some things, and she offered to let us put a few things out with hers, so we'll see what happens there.
