Some Firsts

We did our first two loads of laundry in our new Texas room today. No laundromat. No quarters. One of life's little pleasures is using your own washing machine. We started to clean up, tossing some old broken lawn chairs and a raggedy blanket. Another first was fixing peanut butter and jelly sandwiches to eat in the Texas room.

We also figured out where our mailbox is and how to find packages that won't fit in the mailbox. We picked up our last Escapees mail at Bentsen Palm too.

In the morning we'll need to be at the lot with the Majestic in tow by 8:00 a.m., so we'll be getting up at 6:00 a.m. Another first is that we hitched up today for the move in the morning. We actually hitched up with the slides still deployed. In the morning all we need to do is pull in the slides and disconnect the electricity to be ready to tow. We also noticed that when we tried to move to GGG last Saturday, we left our wine glasses in the wine glass hanger. We're just lucky we didn't open the door to find lots of broken glass.

Jan and Steve stopped by to say hi this afternoon, just as we were about to go drop by their place on our walk. They were on their way to get pedicures, which they do monthly. We also met our neighbors behind our lot, Bill and Nancy. They're from Arkansas and have a greyhound that we didn't meet called Delie (short for Delia). They're in a park model. They sold their fifth wheel and are buying a small travel trailer.

I spent quite a bit of time on the phone today with Millenicom, trying to get our USB modem working. Finally the tech figured out it was a programming error on their end, which was pretty quickly set right, so we're back in business.
