Good News

Ken went with Jeff today to his appointment with his oncologist. The news sounds quite good: the oncologist and experts who have seen Jeff's test results all say that there is no conclusive evidence of malignancy. In fact, the "mass" discovered in Korea is an enlarged and hyperactive thymus gland. No one knows what is causing this, but it could be any number of things, including infection. Jeff will have further blood tests, and a followup PET scan in three months. If that one shows no change, then he'll continue to be followed closely over the next few years.

Jeff and Ken window shopped today at the Forum Shops at Caesar's Palace.

I went for a bike ride this morning through Americana, which is just across the street. They have a small hiking/birding trail with a couple of feeding stations. Today they were mainly patronized by lots of redwinged blackbirds, unsurprisingly. This evening Judy joined me for a brisk walk around the park at dusk, when it had cooled off enough to enjoy the night air.
