Clean Truck!

Our faithful truck has been getting progressively more grimy for the last month, and today we finally cleaned it up a bit. The only hard part was getting the road tar off. It seems to collect and stick like, well, tar. Even the grease dissolver doesn't touch it, so I broke out the Gel Gloss, which worked like a charm (after the application of some elbow grease).

This afternoon we danced at Jerry Story's C-1 workshop. It's a mixed bag. Sometimes it feels like we're actually getting the hang of this stuff, and sometimes it's all just a blooming, buzzing confusion--especially when the caller asks us to square chain thru with phantoms! Jerry always makes it fun, though.
On the way home from the dance we went to Academy Sports. Judy had said they carried Skechers Shape Ups and had some on sale. Unfortunately they didn't have anything in my size except one pair of the old, very thick soled style--and that pair was not a color/design I'd wear.

We met our new neighbors who moved in two sites over a couple of days ago, Paul and Karen. They are avid birders and only here for six weeks, so they aren't spending much time at the campsite.

Chris called. He and John and Annie have had food poisoning. Evidently they were all pretty miserable, but Annie is pretty much back to normal. Chris says he's feeling "middling"--at least he's up and around and not throwing up anymore.
