Balmy Weather

The weather has turned warmer again, with blue skies and sunshine and a high today of 85. We walked along the levee this morning. My foot was doing better, but we still averaged under 3 mpg.

This afternoon we went to Darryl's C-1 dance. A couple approached and said, "Did you know we're from the same park?" They had seen us out walking. Their names are Dick and Karleen Karsten, and they are in site #608. We wondered why we hadn't seen (or maybe noticed) them before. It's probably because they are C-2 dancers. They've been coming to Bentsen Palm for three years now, just like us.

As we were walking toward the mailboxes this evening, we passed Karleen riding her bike, and she greeted us. Now I'm sure we'll see them everywhere.

We got an email from Shellie this evening. Ken's brother, Gordon, is in the hospital. He has had another stroke, but seems to be recovering well. We're hoping that he'll continue to improve.

Tonight is the lunar eclipse. It's special partly because this full moon is a blue moon. This coincidence of the lunar eclipse and the winter solstice is the first in 456 years.

Ken's feeling better. He hasn't taken any decongestants today, but he's still feeling drowsy and took a nap before lunch.
