Terri and Molly Arrive!

We worked all day again preparing for our guests. We had to go shopping to return/exchange some things. The stores are crowded, so that took a while. We went to Bed, Bath & Beyond to find a tablecloth for the Texas room and ended up with one just like the one we bought earlier for our table in the Majestic (except for the size, of course).

We pulled out all the Christmas ornaments and set up Christmas trees in both the Majestic and the Texas room. We didn't get everything put up, but it looks nice anyhow (photos later).

Finally the big moment arrived. We drove to McAllen-Miller International Airport (MFE) to pick up Terri and Molly. Their flight came in at 10:45 p.m., so we didn't expect to see very many people at the airport, but the area outside the gates was crowded, mainly with young people. Evidently someone important was on the same plane, and the group erupted into cheers at one point. Soon afterward, Terri and Molly walked out--and we erupted into quieter cheers. It was so great to see them arrive safe and sound.

We showed them around the Texas room and opened the sleeper sofa. Terri wanted more covers, so we got out the heavy blue plush blanket that Jeff had sent his dad from Korea. That will definitely keep them warm.
