Doctor Visits

We both had our regular visits with Dr. George this morning. He thinks we'll both live. We did get some fine tuning of our prescriptions and a recall a month from now.

After lunch we dropped off our trash and dropped by Jan and Steve's. We haven't seen much of them recently--they've had company and they went to Galveston for Dickens on the Strand. Of course they had some stories to tell.

They had a Spanish class after dinner but agreed to come over afterward to help unload the new wardrobe. We went to Lowe's to pick it up, and while we were there, we walked for an hour in the store. Steve and Jan have the same wardrobe--that's where we got the inspiration to buy ours. They're gluttons for punishment and had offered to help put it together.

They did come over to unload the wardrobe. Our neighbor Chuck helped Steve get the large, heavy, awkward box out of the truck bed and into the Texas room. Steve decided that this evening would be a great time to put the wardrobe together. He had a large tool bag with pretty much everything he needed, and he did most of the work, with some contributions from the rest of us. We still have to install the shelves, but that's a minor point. It is really great to have good friends and neighbors.

We've started recording the current NCIS episodes. We watched tonight's. The problem is that we've watched all the reruns so often we can practically quote the dialogue.
