On Friday afternoon, our outer 40 lb. propane tank ran out. No problem, we could put it out to be refilled on Monday when Pony Express Propane came through the park. We turned on the inner tank, and it ran out before noon today. How did we use 40 pounds of propane in three days? Trying to keep the house warm in this cold snap, that's how. We seldom actually run out of propane completely, and it's never a positive experience!
Luis finished painting today. His perfectionism made for a wonderful result, but lots of extra work for him. Tonight we have the fans and heater running to give the paint a chance to dry. Tomorrow he'll return to reinstall the enclosed mini blinds that he removed to paint the doors. It looks really great.
Meanwhile Nestor also came and repaired and reinstalled the toilet. Now we have to finish cleaning and redecorating and putting up Christmas decorations. It looks like the place will be ready for its first visitors Saturday night.
We went to Darryl's C-1 workshop this afternoon. We had four squares; some folks have left for holiday travels. One couple is counting the days until they leave on the 22nd for a 9-day tour of Italy. Darryl worked on calls involving magic columns. I found the half circulates rather confusing at first, and I'm not confident that I have it all down pat yet.
