Wow! We Have a New Truck Bed

Today was the big day. We got up early and drove our bob tailed truck to Mount Pleasant to have the modified bed installed.  We arrived at Morris Metal Works at 8:30. Bob. Was ready for us. He drove the truck to their other location to get the work done. Meanwhile we settled in for a wait.

We went for our morning walk and then returned to read and work on our computers. Ken spent his time mainly in researching tablet computers. His Acer died a week after the one year warranty expired, and it would cost so much to have it repaired that it makes more sense to replace it.

At noon we ate lunch and then waited some more. Finally at 3:00 p.m. Ken said, "It's here." We went out to see the results of two and a half weeks' worth of work. It was beautiful! We were delighted with the very professional results. Bob and his crew had been able to retain our tonneau cover and rear camera. Everything looked great.

The truck bed is now about 5 inches lower than it was, just as we had hoped. We headed back to Tyler to get ready for our move tomorrow.

We can sure tell that we are no longer on Daylight Saving Time. We ended up doing a fair amount of work in the dark by the light of our flashlights. Winter is coming.
