Downton Abbey!

Tonight was the first episode of Downton Abbey Season 5. And just for good measure, PBS also aired a one hour special on the Manners of Downton Abbey about the historical research that goes into the show. We know it's just a dressed up period soap opera, but we love it.

This morning we went to breakfast with our friends as usual. Hardy and Judy weren't there because they are on a cruise, but we still had seven of us: the Boyinks, Spauldings, Cheryl (the Spauldings' daughter) and us. Rosie's Restaurant is becoming more popular by the week. As we were leaving, our tables were spirited away for another large party, and we ran into several square dancers on their way in after church.

After breakfast we picked up Sandi for a walk in the state park. We're still not seeing very many birds, but we did see Green Jays, Chachalacas, and Red-Winged Blackbirds. Sandi was telling us that fellow square dancers Jim and Pat are avid birders, and we saw them on a passing tram going into the park as we were leaving.
