Exploring Columbia Park

We decided to drive up to Columbia Park, where Twelfth Night is being presented this Sunday, partly to check out the site and parking and partly to walk the trails in the park. The park has a very large open grassy area that includes a soccer goal. It looks to us like the only space for a play. We're hoping they plan to set up a stage. We found plenty of parking at the adjacent high school.

The six-acre wooded area has plenty of trails meandering through it. We walked out into the nearby neighborhoods too. Along the way we found ripe blackberries, but we picked only a few. Darn things are protected by stickers! To do any serious picking, I'll need long sleeves and long pants and maybe gloves.

We watched a Masterpiece Mystery program tonight, another Inspector Lewis episode: murder at a university, motives buried in the past. Of course Lewis and Hathaway solve the case.

We also watched some snippets of the Olympics, including beach volleyball. May and Walsh are astonishingly good.
