Well, I finally made it to a Muppets movie. We went to the Movies 6 matinee at 2:00 p.m., so lots of kids around. Most of them were probably there for the Chipmunks movie or Tintin. I love the Muppets, and especially Kermit, so I was happy to spend the hour and a half with them. Ken wasn't as entertained. The movie did suffer a bit from the incongruity of mixing Muppets with people, especially in the case of Walter (a Muppet) and his brother Gary (a real live person). The Muppets reprise the Rainbow Connection, bringing back lots of memories of innocence and the unaffected joy of childhood. The movie's new song, Life's a Happy Song, is equally catchy and appealing.
On the way home we stopped at Burlington Coat Factory, where Ken found a really nice new black jacket. I was looking for a similar jacket, but all the women's lightweight jackets were very long, and most required both buttoning and zipping. I ended up adopting Ken's old black jacket. We also found some gloves for him--preparing for our Alaska cruise this summer.
Ken's foot is still hurting, and the weather was windy and chilly, so we went to the exercise room again. I walked on a treadmill and Ken rode an exercise bike.
