More Cleaning

Having finished cleaning the roof and awning, we moved on to the rest of the rig today, using some RV Wash and Wax and some elbow grease. We made some good progress but still have to clean the windows, do some touch up work, and wax the front end cap, so there's plenty of work for tomorrow. Fortunately it wasn't as hot today, so a more pleasant day to work.

After our chores we took our afternoon walk and then headed to the hot tub.

Looking out at the Mirror Lake tonight, it's easy to see where it got its name. The trees and blue sky and fluffy white clouds are faithfully echoed in the water, a lovely sight. We spotted a great blue heron earlier today, standing in the middle of the lawn, quite far from the lake, which puzzled us.

We got a refund check in the mail for overpayment of Ken's Medicare premium, which happened because he started getting Social Security. Medicare premiums are automatically deducted from Social Security checks, so one month of our last three month payment was returned.

As always, that left us with a problem. We have nowhere to deposit checks. PFCU offers a deposit by scan service, which we've used once before with no problem. This time it was nothing but problems. First the software wouldn't find the scanner. I tried again in Internet Explorer and discovered that a new plug-in needed to be installed. That still didn't clear things up. Now we had to update Java.

Meanwhile the network was acting up, so we had to reboot the router and modem twice. Finally got the front of the check to scan properly, but then the software kept rejecting the scan of the back of the check with Ken's endorsement. How frustrating! We ended up having to mail the check. I hate to trust the mail for deposits.

This morning only Carol was at the exercise class. We used a Leslie Sansone Walk and Kick video, which I enjoyed. Leslie keeps up a good patter, and there's plenty of variety. Just when I think something is too much, she goes back to walking.
