Leaving Camp Horizons

We woke up this morning to rain and wind and a forecast of more to come, so we were happy to be heading south. Before we left Camp Horizons, we walked around and said goodbye to everyone.

Jim and Suella were heading for their rig and trying to keep dry when I snapped their photo, but they graciously waved and smiled for the camera. I saw Karen for a few minutes. She and Phil will leave tomorrow for the big RV show in Pomona, CA, before taking the 2014 show model to their RV lot where they’ll have an open house. Their new puppy looks just like Cooper, but Karen says this one will be smaller.

We stopped by to talk with Paul and Kathy. They’re back to get some problems fixed. Their Dometic refrigerator is refusing to run on propane. The air conditioning units are very noisy, and the brakes are not responding to the brake controller. We’re confident they’ll get everything straightened out so they can leave the factory and just enjoy living in their new Majestic.

We said goodbye to Jeff (and Donna). He was dumping the boxes from their new television and receiver that he had installed. Carolyn was busy at the front desk, but she looked up long enough to tell us that she has a new grandson, born yesterday. He weighed in at 5 lbs. 12 ozs and 18 ½ inches long.

We are spending the night in the parking lot of the Walmart in Wellington, KS, where we stayed last May on our way to Junction City for warranty work.
