No, unfortunately, I'm not talking about rain (which we very badly need). We worked on our fresh water system today. We installed a new Watts 263A water pressure regulator. We also replaced the sediment filter and put some dichlor in the tank to keep it sanitized. That's probably not necessary since we've been hooked up to city water for months now, but we like to be careful.
Ken put a hose fitting on the hose supplied in the Majestic to winterize the water system. It's also the only way to get water into the fresh water tank if we don't have a water faucet. There's no way to pour water into the tank, and the hose came with no fittings. We wanted to be able to add some length to make it easier to reach a water container sitting in the truck bed.
That description of our projects sounds like we were done in a jiffy, but actually each took quite a while. We do have a sense of accomplishment anyhow.
We spent much of the day following events in Boston. Carol's sister Gail lives in Watertown, so we were especially concerned when so much firepower ended up concentrated there. Fortunately Gail was okay, except for missing lots of sleep and getting a migraine. Residents got robo-calls during the night to warn them to stay indoors and lock their doors, and of course there were sirens and gunshots. We were glad to hear finally that the second suspect was captured alive. What a tragedy.
