Jeff called today to say that his mother had passed away. This was not unexpected, as she had been in hospice care suffering from leukemia, but it is very sad news for the family and all who loved her. Rebecca posted this on Facebook
Nancy Marks (1946-2015) will be missed dearly. She was ready to go home to be with family and friends and with God, whom she cherished. Those of us left behind will miss her dearly. May we all remember her giving soul and her cheerful spirit.We enjoyed the lovely sunny weather, with a gentle south wind and high of 80°. This morning we did some further trimming of the grapefruit tree, using an electric chain saw borrowed from Steve and Jan. It's a marvelous tool on a long handle, but heavy, and it took a lot out of me using it, so we put off further tree maintenance until the next decent weather day--which looks like it will be a while.
