Fish Fry!

Today is Pi Day (3-14-15) and the date of the annual fish fry at our friends the Spauldings place. The weather cooperated, fortunately, since tomorrow another cold, wet front will push down to South Texas. Steve is an avid angler who regularly heads to South Padre Island to go fishing on one of the charter boats. He saves and freezes his catch, and every spring before everyone heads home, he and Jan put on a great fish fry. This year Tim brought some red snapper throats from fish he caught yesterday. You have to fight with the bones, but it's delicious and well worth the effort.

This morning we went for a bike ride to the state park, taking advantage of the mild weather. The park was crowded with other cyclists, bird watchers, and lots of kids. That's always good to see.
