My Electra Townie bike is a model called the Purple Poem. Recently it's been looking more like the purple pits! We picked it up from Bicycle World today after its tune-up, and it's definitely in much better shape again.
Bicycle World is the largest bike shop around, and an Electra dealer, which is why we go to them. The fact that their restroom is a museum of bicycle parts is a bonus.
We also had to go back to Dr. George's office for Ken's neck x-rays to be retaken. Then we stopped by HEB to pick up some groceries.
We got our forwarded mail today. One item was a summons to jury duty for me, requiring me to appear in Livingston, TX, on Tuesday, February 22. Oops. It was postmarked February 8, which is the day our last mail forwarding went out. Fortunately, the Clerk of Courts office in Livingston is very understanding of the situation of full-time RVers, since so many of us have our legal domicile through the Escapees Mail Service in Livingston. The woman I spoke with said, "Just volunteer when you're in town again."
We also did the laundry today. Two of the six washers in the front laundry room are out of service. They both have signs on them indicating that the repairs would be done on February 22....
