More Chores

We crossed off some more items on our to-do list today. We flushed out the water heater tank and in the process inadvertently emptied our fresh water tank. (That's what happens when you leave the water heater to drain and neglect to turn off the water pump.) That actually worked out okay, since we also needed to drain and sanitize the fresh water tank. We also changed out the water filters for our whole house filtration system.

For dinner we grilled a whole chicken in our propane grill. At least that was the plan. The wind had other ideas and blew out the flame after a bit, so the chicken was started outside and finished in the oven. It was still good, but not as good as it would have been, darn it!

We spent some more time travel planning. We're trying to coordinate with Jeff to visit him at Hill AFB near Salt Lake City the end of September.
