Windy day

Our rear window awning is securely anchored. That's a good thing when the wind kicks up, as it did today. The scalloped edges of the awning were flapping about quite vigorously. We walked this morning rather than riding our bikes, because we don't like to fight headwinds. This evening the wind had died down, so we biked.

Despite the wind, we saw quite an assortment of butterflies, especially around the flowering plants.

We seem to be having a problem with our fridge not cooling enough. Last night our ice cream snack was more like a milkshake in texture. Today we defrosted the freezer and cleared the ice buildup from part of the fins. We're hoping this will improve things, but so far the thermometer is still reading above 40. We'll see what it looks like in the morning.
