Lake Winnebago

We left Door County this morning and headed to Green Bay, but all we saw of that city was a laundromat and a detour. With our laundry done, we programmed our destination into Rosie, our GPS, who proceeded to direct us to cross the Fox River on a closed bridge. Some quick reconnaissance led us to the new bridge just to the south. Rosie showed us driving through the water--evidently her database had no knowledge of the new bridge.

Farther south we ran into a road closure on Hwy 41, but we finally arrived at Calumet County Park and set up camp. While we ate dinner, we watched the sun set over Lake Winnebago. For dessert we had cherry delight with yogurt and cherry sauce--delicious. We'll be enjoying cherries for a while.....

That's Lake Winnebago peeking through the trees near our campsite.

We will be here at least three days while we wait for our glasses to come in. We will also have to wait for the parts for our hitch that Pull-Rite agreed to replace. Meanwhile we'll try to schedule with an RV repair place to install the new mounts for our solar panel to replace the ones that were bent.
