From Stoughton Through Port Washington to Sheboygan

Sounds like a train schedule, doesn't it? We left Kamp Kegonsa in Stoughton, WI, this morning and drove towards the coast, which took us to Milwaukee, but we passed through without stopping except at a credit union. We turned north towards Port Washington, where we parked and walked along the waterfront to take photos of the art deco lighthouse.

After lunch we drove north to Sheboygan, where we are staying at an Elks Lodge. In Sheboygan also we walked along the waterfront to see the lighthouse and walked up to an observation deck from which we had a nice view of the harbor and the city. Most of the lighthouses along the Lake Michigan coast are not open for tours, so we content ourselves with taking photos.

We made reservations to take a tour of the Kohler Design Center tomorrow morning (yes, it's the plumbing Kohlers--we hear their restrooms are fabulous).

Tonight we watched In the Heat of the Night, which we had recorded on TIVO from Turner Classic Movies, so there were no commercial interruptions. It was as great a movie as I recalled from seeing it in the theater when it first came out. Favorite line: "They call me Mr. Tibbs."
