Our friend Jean arrived this afternoon, after a couple of long days driving south from Indianapolis. She got here just in time for the north wind from the approaching cold front to blow her south. She encountered low visibility and bits of debris being blown at her car. We don't know if she believed us that we had the air conditioners on earlier today.
She brought along a much appreciated gift, some of her son Bill's great beer. He has a microbrewery in Indy called Daredevil. Its motto is "Aggressively Fun." We've enjoyed sampling Bill's beers over the last few years, some from before he opened his brewery. All delicious.
We are so glad to have Jean with us, and we're hoping that her ankle will continue to heal well.
