Today was another cold, wet one. It didn't actually rain, but the mist was heavy enough to leave puddles on the patio. We got our laundry done. We went to Home Depot to walk and then to the grocery store before returning for dinner and cocooning.
Two very important people died yesterday. Leonard Nimoy, the creator of Spock, will be missed by Trekkies and many others who grew up watching Star Trek. He embodied the ideals of science and humanity, even though he was only half human. Fr. Ted Hesburgh, former president of Notre Dame and progressive activist, didn't seem to be trending on Facebook, but his impact on a generation was also profound. He opposed US policy in Vietnam and actively worked for a non-nuclear world.
