Today was our first C-2 lesson. That's Challenge 2, the next level of square dancing after C-1 (Challenge 1), which is what we are dancing now. Randy is having the lessons on Thursday afternoons in the Pharr South Activity Building. We had four couples of students: Dick and Mary Ann Drake, Carl and Jo Beth Dausch, Steve and Jan Spaulding, and us. We're hoping to have more couples join us, especially once Darryl starts his lessons on January 11.
Steve and Jan were a few minutes late because of a doctor appointment, but Mike and Bonnie filled in until they arrived. Randy taught several new calls, but explained that he would be repeating them next week so that he and Darryl could be in sync. Our heads were spinning.
This evening we danced to Darryl. We had seven squares, including lots of new folks. Tom and Annemarie were there, wearing their Aladdin badges. They've bought a house there, so I guess we can expect to see more of them this winter.
We spent some time today organizing the shed and the Christmas stuff, but we're not finished. Always more to do.
