Today we went to Design Quest in Grand Rapids to pick up our new Stressless swivel recliners. First we stopped in Battle Creek at the Goodwill to donate our old recliners, which they were happy to get. We were happy to have some younger, stronger people to remove them from the rig.
The reason we towed Venture all the way to Grand Rapids is that we wanted the store employees to be responsible for moving the chairs into the rig. That turned out to be a bit tricky, since our doorway is much narrower than a standard home door, but they managed, without damaging either the chairs or the rig.
One of the incentives to buy at the time we did was that "personal tables" were included free. They're designed especially for laptop computers or reading. We wanted them to use with our laptops, but even with our small laptops there isn't really room for a mouse. We'll have to see how they work out. We've been trying to find a good way to handle computing in an RV. Most floorplans don't have very good arrangements for a desk.

The day was again extremely hot. When we stopped at a rest area and got out of the truck, it was like stepping into an oven. Fortunately we had plenty to drink, since the rest area had large signs up warning people not to drink the water, which had tested positive for coliform bacteria. Yuk.
The trip to Grand Rapids took most of the day. When we returned, we had to maneuver Venture into the space again and hook everything up. We actually put it less than six inches over from its previous parking spot (we know this because we drove off the leveling boards and left them in place when we left).
