The standing joke from movies like RV with Robin Williams is the fun of dumping your wastewater tanks (euphemism for sewage, etc.). This task is usually not as dramatic as portrayed in the movies. In fact it's usually uneventful and ho-hum. Not so today.
We've been at Lewisville Lake Park for the last 13 days, and there are no sewer hookups. There are two possible solutions. One is to unhook everything, close up the rig, hitch up, and drive to the campground dump station. The other is to use a plastic rolling container commonly called a blue boy to empty the tanks, making several trips to the dump station dragging the blue boy behind the truck. We haven't done this often, and clearly we have a lot to learn. Today it was a difficult and messy job. Yuck! But we are now all set to spend our final week here.
After we had finished this job, we decided that we had had enough work for one day, so we had lunch and did some travel planning.
We took a short walk down to the shore where we had spotted the mama kildeer earlier. This time both mom and dad put on a show for us. For little birds, they are very brave!
Tonight we watched the final episode of Return to Cranford, which was recorded in January. It had some satisfying Victorian soap opera moments, but we liked it mostly because we like Judi Dench.
