Dancing, Shopping, Queen Latifah!

We managed a short bike ride this morning before an early lunch and heading out for Darryl's C-2 at Our Savior Lutheran. Jean rode with us to meet up with Jan and Steve at the dance. Darryl called the first three tips at class level, so many of the C-2 students came.

On the way in, we found the entry room filled with the church rummage sale. Of course the sale had started this morning, so there wasn't much to pick through. They did have a good supply of patterns and craft items for people into those things.

At the beginning of the dance, we had ten squares plus three couples. After the students left, we had eight squares. Our squares did pretty well. Darryl played around some more with crazy triangles. The outside triangles are easy to see, but somehow the inside ones are less clear, especially when we were reshaping the triangles.

After the dance we went shopping. First we went to Sprouts and then Costco, where we spent some time drooling over the electronics. We were especially impressed by the hybrid tablet laptops.

After trying some of the samples, we headed over to the mall. Ken was hoping to find some Ecco shoes at Macy's, but it turns out they don't sell them in the stores--just online. Ecco is one of the brands of walking shoes that Rick Steves recommends. Then on to Target to pick up two more prescriptions for Ken.

When we got home it was 5:30 p.m. and we just had time to put the food away and get supper together before going over to the hall for the Friday night movie. Tonight the movie was Last Holiday with Queen Latifah. The movie is very predictable, but Queen Latifah is a lot of fun and the audience had some good laughs..
