Dancing (What Else?)

Our big outing today was to Darryl Lipscomb's A-2 Concept Dance--only Darryl wasn't there. He had a commitment to call for a weekend festival in Tyler, TX, so Brad Caldwell from the Austin area came down to fill in for him. The dancing was fun, especially the open tip at the end. We were with Kit and Marty and it was their last square dance of the season. Bob and Marilyn and Bob and Sandy filled out the square. We all danced arky except for Bob Z. and Kit. It wasn't perfect execution, but it was great fun.

Brad Caldwell subbed for Darryl--and even put on his Darryl disguise
(a biker scarf and ponytail) but has too much hair to pull it off, as you can see below.

Yup, that's Darryl's ponytail.

I got the router set up, and the TIVO now has program info again, yippee!

Ken called the benefits office to enroll in the Medicare medigap coverage to start on May 1. The letter he got stated that he could not enroll online but must call. The person he spoke with said that he didn't need to enroll. When he went online to check his benefits, a large notice at the top of the page said that he had to enroll and to "click here." As usual, lots of incomplete and contradictory communication.

We played more Rummikub tonight. Ken keeps piling up the score. One round I made the mistake of holding a joker, not realizing that Ken was about to go out. Bad move--the joker counted 30 points against me. We've decided to wipe the slate clean when he gets to 1000....
