Healthcare

We started out the day by getting up early and hurrying to Long Beach for Ken's appointment with his dentist to have his bridge checked. It turns out that it will need to be replaced and extended, so we're facing more dental appointments for that. Then we hurried over to another doctor's office to get Ken's back injection.

We've spent more time racing around freeways since we arrived in the LA area than we have for a year. We're struck by the frenetic pace and congestion, in contrast with the lower key lifestyle of the fulltime RVer.

This afternoon Ken was ready to take it easy for a bit, and we sat on our patio watching the ground squirrels with our binoculars. There's a large open area in front of our campsite that seems to be home to an impressive number of squirrels.

For breakfast we had a new cold cereal for us, from Costco: pecan and cranberry. For lunch we ate leftover spaghetti and green beans. For supper we had meatloaf made with Italian seasoned ground turkey, baked potato and sweet potato, and broccoli, with salad.
