Model Homes

Mary Ann and Gary had a recommendation to try Excalibur Sports Bar and Grill for burgers. When we arrived at lunchtime, we were the only customers, so we had a private dining room. The Excalibur burger and onion rings we split were quite good. The waitress said that the crowd picks up at 5 p.m. when the live music starts.

Afterwards we went to Sharyland Plantation to visit model homes. We saw Perry Homes and Horton Homes models, all of which were quite large. High ceilings and large entry halls appear to be popular. On the way home we drove past the construction on the new International Bridge. It seems a bit incongruous that we are building bridges on the one hand and walls on the other.....

Terri called, so I got to wish her a happy birthday in advance of her Monday birthday coming up.

For supper we had veggie chili and blue corn muffins with cole slaw again--still yummy!
