Friends for Cards

We played cards tonight with John and Sandy and Steve and Jan. First we played Walenters' favorite game, Sevens from Hell, with two three person teams (men and women). The women were so far ahead after the second round that the men conceded.

We moved on to playing Five Crowns. It's a fast moving, easy game, so it's easy to chat and eat. I tried to pop some popcorn in the Texas room microwave, which was a disaster. It must not have much power. The next bag popped in the rig microwave just fine.

Steve and Jan brought over some nice fish filets for the Walenters and us. Steve had filleted them and put them in quart freezer bags in salt water. They'll need to be rinsed off tomorrow. They are all sheepshead, which I don't remember eating before, so this will be a treat.
