Big Plans

We had some big plans for today. We were going to borrow a tall ladder and prune the tops of the citrus trees. Using that same ladder, we would remove the cactus growing on the canopy over the patio.

We were also going to take a bike ride to the state park. The weather had other plans. The whole day was intermittently rainy.

So we ended up spending more time on our trip planning and putting off the tree trimming for a drier day. We walked around our park instead of biking.

This morning as usual we had breakfast with the gang. We were expecting twelve people, so Bob and Pat snagged a long table for us. When we ordered, three seats were still empty. Ray and Pierrette and Carol hadn't joined us yet. Then something different happened. A couple we did not know walked up to our table and sat down. They didn't ask, they just sat. It turned out that our missing friends had forgotten the time change, so we didn't need the chairs, but it was still quite odd. As we were leaving, Carol showed up, planning to eat by herself.
