Today was Mardi Gras--and our usual laundry day. We didn't collect any shiny beads or ride on fancy floats, as some of our friends did. We're glad to know that Jim and Janey and Hardy and Judy were off having a grand old time in Gulfport.
We collected our laundry, but found it was laundry day for lots of other folks too. So we got in line. We didn't have anything else on the schedule, except for lazing around by the pool. It was a hot sunny day, so we stayed in the shade and watched the pool volleyball players.
The Wii bowlers were especially enthusiastic this afternoon. They had a tournament, and the cheering rivaled the noise at a college football game. We're glad we weren't' trying to take a nap!
Tonight we watched the State of the Union address. We liked some of what we heard, but we don't have a lot of faith in the political process at this point.
