Friends

We visited with fellow Majestic owners Stuart and Lynn Jeffries this afternoon. They've been at Retama Village since November 6. It was good to see them again. While we were sitting on their patio, we heard a loud crash. A motorhome next door at Bentsen Palm Village had backed into the chain link fence between the two parks. It was actually their motorcycle trailer that impacted the fence, so no serious damage except to the fence.

We danced today to Darryl. Kurt and Jean were there, and Steve and Jan were back. Still five squares, but lots of fun.

We got our cable modem from Solstar today, delivered by Joe, and I'm happy to report that we now have a 3.0 MB upload, blazing fast for us. It definitely took a while to finally get the Wifi Ranger to recognize the Ethernet WAN input, but now all is well.

We missed Tom and Donna Clapham. They're only in the RGV visiting briefly, and we were out at the dance when they stopped by.

We watched an episode of Downton Abbey Season #2. It was a repeat of course, but we still enjoyed it. Nothing like a good soap opera set in an English mansion!


Meanwhile we still have a problem with getting the Solstar cable TV. There's definitely a good signal at the outside cable, but by the time it gets to the TV, we get only a fuzzy picture on a few channels. We'll have to track down the problem.
