We got a Christmas present in the mail, so we decided to put up the tree so we could put the present under it. The tree is not much larger than the present, but it's the spirit of the thing. It's the Christmas spirit--a time to remember friends far and near.
It's been cool and overcast today. We played some Rummikub--Ken won two with big points, and I won the third, catching him with many fewer. That was enough to make me feel better anyhow 8-)
Ken called his sister Romaine to wish her a belated birthday. She's feeling well. Mark and Tammy and Julie took her out to dinner to celebrate her birthday. She's looking to buy a new television, a flat panel, but she's having trouble finding one that will fit her cabinet and figuring out how to mount it.
