We headed out of Kalispell around 10, after Tom and Nanci's rig was repaired. The drive to West Glacier was short and scenic, and the campground where we are staying is pleasant. The sites are all wooded, and it's far enough off the highway that we won't hear any road noise (but there is an occasional train whistle). After lunch we went over towards Glacier National Park, stopping first at the Alberta, Canada, visitor information center. A full-size dinosaur skeleton dominated the center, and the friendly Canadians were eager to help us.

Then we went to Apgar Village to the park visitor center and checked on where our Red Bus tour will depart from tomorrow morning. We enjoyed an ice cream cone after browsing through the shops. Ken and I shared a huckleberry cone--huckleberries are a local specialty, and I hope that I'll be able to find some to pick.

Frank and Val and Don and Cassie had arrived by the time we returned to camp. We rested while they went over to the park. After happy hour, we all brought our dinners out to eat together and then sat around a campfire. Nanci brought out a surprise grab bag for the ladies, and we each got to choose a pair of red white and blue beaded earrings to wear for Independence Day. Thanks, Nanci!
Julie called to say that she is feeling better. She's taking an anti-nausea medication that is prescribed for chemo patients, and she says it's working very well. At her appointment today the baby's heartbeat was strong and the due date of February 11 was confirmed.
