Some of our group headed downtown to the Telus Museum of Science to see a planetarium show about Galileo in honor of the 400th anniversary of his first use of his telescope. The show featured a live performance and audience interaction. The dome was used basically as a giant screen. Well worth seeing.
Then we took the LRT to the Calgary Tower, and Nanci, Dennis, and I went to the top, where you can see 360 degree views of Calgary. One exciting, albeit somewhat vertigo inducing feature, is a section that juts out with a glass floor. Stepping out on it for the first time took some doing, but I got more used to it and even took a photo of my feet looking down at the base of the tower.

During the evening, the Rowes, Johnsons, and Simingtons came over and we did some research and talked about options for camping in Banff and Jasper National Parks.
