Dancing, Mall Walking, Movie

We went to Darryl's C-2 dance this afternoon. We danced with eight squares plus a spare. Marion and Velma were there. We did pretty well, but Darryl called some definitely challenging once removed calls that caused our squares (and me in particular) some difficulties.

After the dance we headed to the mall to walk. We had to dodge shoppers, but it was not nearly as crowded as it had been the week after Christmas.

The drive home was through light rain and fog, not the best driving conditions, so we were glad to be back in our cozy home. After dinner we walked over to the clubhouse for the Friday night movie: Rise of the Planet of the Apes. John and Sandy were there ahead of us. We rather expected Steve and Jan and Cheryl, but they didn't come. Shortly after the film started, I realized that I had seen it before and hadn't cared for it, so I said goodbye and walked home.
