We walked over to Paul's this morning to ask for a recommendation for someplace to get our water heater fixed. Paul immediately suggested that his friend Donald would be a great choice, and about that time Donald and Johnny came in.
After cleaning and examining the water heater, Donald decided that we need a part (Atwood 91447 140 Degree Front Mount ECO Thermostat). We'll call around tomorrow and Tuesday to see if we can locate one.
Donald worked on our generator also, cleaning and adjusting it. The bottom line is that we need a more powerful generator to charge our batteries and also pass current through to our appliances. Now we'll have to decide whether it's worth it to buy another Honda 2000i and connector kit.
Meanwhile, the air conditioner has been working erratically. The consensus on that seems to be that it's probably freezing up due to insufficient coolant. The cure for that is to get it recharged. Did we say that RV equals "repair vehicle"?
We went over to Hazel and Mike's today and did our laundry. Uncle Jesse, Aunt Essie, and Billy were visiting. We talked about our travel plans, and Mike strongly suggested that we not pass up Grandfather Mountain.
Hazel and Iris cooked up a storm, and we had a great dinner. Chuck and Reba joined us too. Uncle Jesse came by with some genealogy materials, which Ken scanned for me. I got Aunt Iris and Uncle Jesse to identify some old photos too. Beth gave me Gean Caton Nelson's email address. She's the one doing genealogical research on the Caton family.
Today is Michelle Martin's 40th birthday. She says her 40's are going to be amazing, and I'm sure she's right.
