Today we returned to Tyler State Park to hike. This time we chose the A Loop. It's 2.53 miles long and is described as "moderate." We found the trail easy going, with only moderate elevation gains.
We wanted to extend out hike a bit, so when we finished the A Loop, we went on to walk the Blackjack Nature Trail, which is only .35 miles long and traverses a grassy savannah. Although listed as a nature trail, it has no interpretive signage except the trailhead sign.
We took our umbrellas along, just in case, but fortunately we were home when the sky opened up for a short but heavy downpour.
